Welcome to Rome, the eternal city that seamlessly blends history, culture, and mouthwatering cuisine. In this blog post, we’ll take you on a journey through three captivating tours that you are sure to enjoy! Enjoy culinary delights, delve into the life of a gladiator, and embark on a unique ride through the city’s charming streets.
We met our private guide at our hotel and ventured out to see one of the most famous structures in the world! Our guide has lived in Rome her entire life and was eager to share endless knowledge of Roman history. One huge benefit of booking a private tour is that your guide will get you skip the line tickets therefore no long lines! Our guide quickly transported us back in time as she shared stories of gladiatorial contests, grand spectacles, and what was once the heart of Roman entertainment. We ended our tour walking through the Roman Forums, which was a former marketplace that housed many important buildings in Ancient Rome. If you are visiting Rome for the first time, seeing the Colosseum is a must!
Wanting a unique and relaxing way to explore Rome’s enchanting streets? Hop aboard a golf cart and set off on a thrilling tour that will take you to the city’s hidden gems and iconic landmarks. I mean who doesn’t love being on a golf cart? This tour is perfect for travelers that only have a few short days in Rome or let’s be honest, for those people who just need to give their feet a break! We met our tour guide and he navigatedĀ us through narrow alleyways, zipped around bustling piazzas, and enjoyed a 360-degree view of Rome’s breathtaking architecture. In just a few short hours we got to see the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, go inside the Pantheon, Piazza Navona and so much more! With our feet propped up, our driver shared fascinating anecdotes and historical insights that I would have never pieced together on my own. This was the perfect way to see Rome in such a few short hours! We even stopped for a gelato and espresso for a break mid tour!
This was by far my favorite way to discover Rome! We started our morning trying espresso at the BEST coffee shop in Rome, Sant Eustachio. From there our guide took us to the beautiful Campo Dei Fiori market where we tried authentic Roman pizza and italian porchetta sandwiches! We walked through the Jewish Ghetto, a magnetic neighborhood in Rome. Sampling cheese and wine was a must then we got to try one of the famous Rome- Jewish fried artichokes! A food tour in Rome is not complete without walking through the foodie neighborhood, Trastevere. While food is definitely the focus of this tour, it is still a great way to learn and discover the city!
Rome is a city that encompasses rich history, delectable cuisine and enchanting sights. Whether you’re a food enthusiast, history buff, or simply seeking a unique adventure, these three tours offer distinct experiences that will leave you with a deep appreciation for the eternal city.
